Therapy for Indecision and Anxiety

Break free from overthinking and self-doubt

Together… we will identify your blind spots

It’s hard to pinpoint exactly what is wrong, but you know something is off.
You wonder why you feel bad, because your life looks fine.

It’s all fine, except:

  • your thoughts feel “sticky” and hard to let go of

  • you overthink details, big and small

  • you battle feelings of dread

The most important aspects of life feel secure, yet you can’t shake feeling unsettled and worried. You wonder “perhaps I’m just entitled and need to get over myself. I have all I need.”

You consider yourself pretty self-aware. Yet, you find it remarkable that you can’t decide anything. You’re distracted by your own thoughts when around friends. When you get home, you can’t stop replaying conversations. You can’t help but worry about what other people think of you. You don’t know why you even care.

Together…we will dive deeper into the reasons behind your patterns

All of this planning and mental activity doesn’t transform into a more peaceful emotional experience.

It only creates more questions and more worry:

  • Why am I unhappy?

  • Shouldn’t I feel on top of things

  • Why do I always feel so guilty?

  • I know I’m a good person, but why do I feel like a bad person?

You want to feel better, but it’s hard to imagine getting to a peaceful internal world. You want more peace of mind. You want to feel confident. You want to take pleasure in your resourcefulness instead of feeling it push you into further doubt.

Together…we will create new pathways for healthier patterns

In your work with me, relief comes from knowing why you suffer in these ways. This kind of knowledge opens pathways to creating newer, more hopeful patterns of relating to yourself in your mind.

Knowing these reasons provides a huge sense of relief. There are many kinds of knowing. Knowing what it is you’re feeling, knowing why you feel what you feel, Knowing what you have to accept, knowing what you can change, knowing you have a physical and emotional place with me who can help you look at these feelings.

The prerequisite for knowing involves thinking together about feelings and internal experiences we don’t quite yet understand. It’s a different type of conversation. Over time we create ideas about these internal experiences that contribute to a more coherent picture of yourself. You begin to see yourself beyond your difficulties. You see you. It begins to make sense.

Since you’re so competent in other areas of your life, you might actually feel ashamed that you don’t know how to solve your difficulties. But how could you know? Learning about your mind is not something you can read in a book. It involves an emotional experience of connecting you to yourself. Therapy is a way of learning from experience - the experience of you with me.

You deserve to feel better.

Imagine if you could…

Really know yourself better in a way that gets you unstuck from this repeating cycle of doubt.

Feel better for longer than a few minutes.

Maintain perspective and not get swallowed in dread and fear.
